My name is Matthew Smith, I am the co-owner of S & G Real Estate Investments, Inc. a Des Moines based real estate investment company. Over the last 5 years we have bought and sold over 300 homes. We have done renovations, historical restorations (including an award winning Craftsman style bungalow in 2007), and new construction. Our primary area of expertise and acquisitions is helping homeowners facing foreclosure. We have developed a successful system for identifying and educating homeowners who need my services and want to know their options. Our system includes methodology for successfully negotiating short sales with the homeowners’ lenders when this is the option they chose.
Prior to starting my real estate company, I was in insurance sales at Banker’s Life and Casualty Company. Before that, I graduated from the University of Kansas where I had started work on my post graduate degree in Religious Studies until I decided on a 10 year adventure in capitalism.
I have the most amazing family here in Iowa. My wife Kristen is my high school sweetheart whom I love. My two kids, Kenyan and Judah are endlessly entertaining and never cease to amaze me . My life has been blessed. It is my hope that this forum will be an opportunity for me to share some of the knowledge I have been able to pick up. Continual striving and pursuit of knowledge is my goal in life and I look forward to talking with each and everyone of you.
